Abim is a town in Northern Uganda. It is the chief municipal, administrative and commercial center in Abim District. The district is named after the town.

Abim is located approximately 140 kilometres (87 mi), by road, northwest of Moroto, the largest town in the sub-region.[1] This location lies approximately 360 kilometres (220 mi), by road, northeast of Kampala, the capital of Uganda and the largest city in that country.[2] The coordinates of the town are .
In 2008, the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) estimated the population of Abim town at 15,500.[3] In 2011, UBOS estimated the mid-year population of the town at 16,000.[4]
